Make history doing what you do

GoogPatent_Uyen Le who?

He was the assistant examiner at the US patent office who would have recommended the grant of patent to an application made by one Mr. Lawrence Page regarding “A Method for Node Ranking in a Linked Database”

(Technically the patent is granted to Stanford University but that’s not the point)

Le changed the internet for ever and I doubt if too many people know about him. That in no way takes away his contribution by doing his job.

Alternatively he could have hemmed and hawed and forgotten about it in a pile of papers and focused on say the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer

Don’t underestimate your chance at being a part of history. Maybe your colleague, your friend, your spouse, your neighbor, that guy asking your approval for travel expenses might be the next big thing everyone on the planet will talk about. Be nice. Do you job. Smile!
